For starters, it simply makes chronological sense that Resurrection F would follow Battle of Gods, as this is the exact order that this happened in the anime and movies. When it comes to the Evil Emperor's return in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, there is a lot of compelling evidence to suggest that he will be the main antagonist of the second DLC. There are a couple things to consider which lend towards either of these arcs as being potential candidates for the next boss battle episode, but there are just as many things which make either hard to believe. Previously, most believed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would never get a Universe 6 DLC, but if the leak is to be believed then it could be a possibility. That said, if the leak is true and the Future Trunks Saga is in fact the new story arc, then that leaves two entire arcs for the second boss battle episode to choose between, the Golden Frieza Saga and the Universe 6 Saga.

This makes a ton of sense as it follows the precedent from the first episode and follows the events of both the Dragon Ball Z movies and Dragon Ball Super chronologically. The DLC would begin with a segment of training with Whis in order to unlock the Super Saiyan Blue form for Goku and Vegeta, and then would end with a repeatable boss battle with Golden Frieza at whatever the maximum level for the second DLC is. Initially, many had assumed that the second boss battle episode, A New Power Awakens Part 2, would mirror the first boss battle episode almost exactly. RELATED: The Biggest Fix Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Needs Before DLC 2 Regardless of how true the leak is, though, it has certainly given the community pause, as many had simply assumed that Golden Frieza and the events of Resurrection F would be next in line for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. With that in mind, fans would do well to take this information with a grain of salt.

It has been since removed, but it's uncertain why. The leak itself comes from Fanatical, a United Kingdom based website which is both popular and credible in gaming circles in the UK, but has not been confirmed in any way.

Where things get interesting, however, is the listing of the "Future Trunks Arc: Hope!" as the new story arc.

In a sales listing for the Ultimate Edition of the game, Fanatical lists the contents of the Season Pass, including the Awakening Part 1 and 2 boss battle episodes. Because of this, many fans are questioning whether or not the Golden Frieza Saga will even make an appearance. A recent Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot leak looks to be turning everything that fans thought the second DLC would be on top of its head, purporting that the story arc DLC will be the Future Trunks saga.
